weekend projesct

This is the playset we have decided on for Reese. I was so excited this morning because Chris was going to pick it up, and tomorrow Linda and Stacie are coming down, so we could put it together.

This is the 2 boxes it came in.

Then we found the directions

That picture tells us it is supposed to take 2 people 8-10 hrs to put together.

Come on,,, we all know it really means it will probably take 3 people and give yourself a full weekend to put it together.
There is NO WAY this is happening this weekend, and we already have plans for next 2 weekends, so by the end of April we MIGHT have it up. ( I wonder if there are people you can hire to put stuff together??)

URRRRR,,,,, Very frustrating!!!!

So the other night, it was one those times where Reese was being a little grumpy, so after her bath, I got the hair bows down to try to make her happy till bed time. She kept handing me bow after bow till we got this look....

THANKFULLY we didn't have to leave the house!! Reese already has her own sense of style, and I am afraid she has mine,,,,, Not good!!!:)

This is her new favorite place to be. She figured out if she pulls the kitchen chair to it she can get up on it. Not real safe. I REALLY have to keep my eye on her.

Thursday's Reese goes to Kristin's ( who has Grace). We hadn't been able to go for a long time, and I'm guessing Reese was missing her because this day she carried grace's picture around with her.

Sorry I haven't been putting any pics on during the week. Chris has the computer w/ him during the week when he is gone ( his route got changed AGAIN) so I only get to do it on the weekends. SO here are a few of Reese in the new tub, and I finally found a curtain I like. Hopefully the next time you see it the bathroom will be done!! :)

weekend of sicknes

Just when I thought we were in the clear of not getting sick, Tues. Reese started w/ a little cough, by Thurs a fever, and by Fri. the cough was bad, runny nose bad, and the Doc said she has an ear infection. Thurs is when I started getting it, so we both were useless this weekend. I got my touch up work done to the bathroom, but still no ceiling and floor. :(

the plus to Reese being sick, is that she can"blow" when you tell her to. No more nose sucker thing!! Yeh!!

Weekend work

I wish!!!! wish this was it,,,, heck,,, I wish it was done!!! We are STILL working on the bathroom. I think the hard stuff is done, now we just have to do the floor, and the ceiling. And I have to do the finishing work, touch up, fill, & paint nail holes, ect. I will post before and afters, cause I really like it. I need to find a new picture, and shower curtain. We decided to cancel the glass door, (bathing Reese will be easier) So I guess I will have to do some shopping. :(

Hopefully next weekend we can have it done. If I could get ahold of another nail gun I could get more done. Maybe I can!!! ( Chris just LOVES it when I don't wait for him!!:) )

My dream ( really) is to flip a house. I would like to be a carpentar in my next life.

But Home Depot is having a tiling class on Sat. maybe I will start now!!! :)

Big Day

Everyone keep your fingers crossed all goes well tomorrow.
It is the big day for the upstairs bathroom. New tub and surround, then Chris and I will finish the rest ourselves. (walls and floor)

last week

Last week was the pits!!! We were both going stir crazy!!! This was the 3 week of not doing much.With the weather, and everyone being sick, we stayed in,,looked out the window and wished for the warm weekend. And we got it!!
